Apart from that, with this subject where we can compare the two artists over a period of time, there is very little to choose between them and we can see why Zhou and Ding attained the positions they did: the former as the most influential artist ever to paint inside a snuff bottle, the latter the most literate, skilled, consistently inventive and exciting.
