Traditional enamels on copper with gold (cloisonné); with a flat lip, flat foot and flat footrim; decorated with a symmetrical formalized lotus design with two flowers beneath a similarly symmetrical neck band of formalized flowers, the two designs separated by a band of metal echoed in the lip and footrim, the foot inscribed in engraved regular script 乾隆年製 Qianlong nian zhi ('Made during the Qianlong period'), the interior without enamel, the exterior exposed metal all gilt
